Before I take my car up to Mdaison to sleep for the rest of the winter I decided to take a few quick pictures to post. Sorry, nothing too special. Hopefully I get some really good ones this spring when it isn't nearly so cold out
This one is the front 3/4 of my car (sorry, poor wide angle n the digi) and there was a wall preventing me from going any further back

Holy Shaky Pics, Batman!
Steve-o, you need a min-tripod like I have bro. ;)
Nice pics of the inside of your garage there...sexy sexy. How 'bout next time you actually *start* the car, drive it out on the street in front of your nifty apartment, and take the pics there.
[whisper mode]BTW, for those of you that don't know....Steve is my best friend, so it's OK for me to give him sh!t. [/whisper mode]

Well I would, but I'm getting ready to leave and pulling it out for 5 mintes doesn't make much sence. I have a tripod too, and it's bigger than yours. I just didn't use it. The pics didn't look too bad on the camera, but they sure did when they got enlarged. oh well, like I said, I took them quick.

I forgot about that....you got a Slik or a Bogen? Isaac might be selling me his Bogen.
Oh, to keep this on topic: does anyone feel that Steve's lighting mods are "rice?" I heard someone say that Type-X 180 rears are ricey, and I thought that was bullshiz.

Total RICE!!!!!
Actually I'm so used to them I find that the stock ones look funny now. I know I may be biased since I drive the car, but I find them cool. They're stock looking (and factory nissan, duh) unlike the cheap looking altezza knock offs. They're also plenty bright and functional. I hate when someone's reverse lights come on when they're braking cause they butched the wiring.
The external mods on my car are pretty much done (unless I get new wheels which is likely with my plans for Z brakes). So far it's limited to the 180sx tails shown and the half clear front turn signals (another mod that makes stock look odd to me). Well that and a good waxing every few months and clay bar every spring. Those things kick ass.
that would be sweet on the Bogen. yeah mines a velbon. It's about the middle between your slik and the bogen. I do need a very small portable one first, though I did see a badass new bogen made of carbon fiber. That's the shiz, but it's $300:eek:

Nice car. Like the tail lights. Fan of them over the American ones. Addes a unique personality to your car.:) gj

You really need to cut down on the caffine... or start smoking or drinking or something! ;)
Loooks good meng. Why doesn't it sleep in the garage it's in? Do you people out there have *multiple garages* while some of us are forced to work on our cars in the elements?

Beautiful car. The white looks so sexy on S13's. The taillights look awesome!!! Can't wait to see more pics! (even though I know it will be a while since it's going into hybernation).
Great job!!! :D

I think you'd agree if you see it in person that the black piece in the middle looks very cool in black.
By the way, that interior of his *is* super clean. He bought the car from the original owner who babied it. It had like 45k on it in 2001 (it's a 93)

I am 100% sure James did see it in person, at a Nissan meet, I know cuz I was there :D .
it does look nice the way it is, but I couldn't help but notice how clean the entire car was, so didn't pay much attention to the lights.

Ok, Ok, I know they're shaky pictures. It was about 20F in the garage and they looked decent on the little screen on my digital camera. When I got inside and downloaded them I saw how blurry they were, they're not great, but they're ok. I know how to take good pictures dammit! I took a semester of photography in college. I'm aware this isn't my best work:D
Anyway, to answer your questions:
2 Garages?- Well this is the one I rent in chicago. It's a 2 car but we only have one space (the girl in the flat below us rents the other), though we (my girlfriend and I) have 2 cars. The 240 and her altima. The altima is pretty much pulling winter driving duty and being parked outside while the 240 rests in the garage. However my Dad just went out to NY and so there's a free space in my parents garage in Madison. It's a much nicer garage, and since I'm not driving the 240 this winter, it really makes no difference where it's kept, so long as it's inside. So now the altima is in the one in Chicago.
The taillights?- I got them about 14 months ago from nismoparts.com. Lowest price I found at $429 + about $20 shipping (the box is 6' tall). This was a fully inclusive setup, with both tails lights, the center panel, the metal underpanel, a new lock core with keys and new gaskets. All of these parts are required for an easy swap. I personally would avoid any kit that only seels the lights as they are not a direct fit without the other parts. However this kit is a bolt in affair with only some easy wire splicing (for some reason the JDM and USDM wiring harnesses are the same shape, just different sizes. Ironically the front half clear lights are plug and play).
Yes, that was the stock interior for my 93. The only visible interior mods were the B&M shifter and a Blaupunkt head unit. I've got a six point harness as well, but I don' think you could see that in any pics (I don't use it on the street). As Eric said above, the previous owner kept the car immaculate and I've tried to do the same. I should have taken some engine bay pics. You would have been droolling:p
