so after i changed my clutch,i was driving home on the freeway when my turbo outlet(megan) broke from the turbo side completely off. so after i delt with that mess and fixed my exhaust leak i was just glad it was over, car sounded great felt pretty good then driving the leak comes back so i thought i knew where it was coming from so i checked and it wasnt there. so i just thought the dp gasket was broken. anyway come to find out my manifold is cracked along where the flange connects to the tubing..so what should i do?
one-just weld that one up and weld some support on it.
two-buy a new manifold i was looking at the DC Sports manifold never found anything on them breaking.
i was told my manifold was tomei but i never saw a stamp yet so idk...im broke as fuck dont kow if im gonna make rent, so yeah this is stress i dont need but i just want my car to be happy, so is it save to drive it like this or will it fall completely off with in time? thanks for your help

Just do what you have the money for. Plus you should just weld that one I think, especially if its tomei because the manifold isn't garbage at all. Give it a quick weld and some support possibly and its good to go.

yeah....ahahahahah that was easy....but idk when im going to be able to get to it..so can i drive for a couple days like this..it does kina sound like its getting worse also im not boosting at all. if your looking at the manifold from the driver fender the crack starts form the left side middle to about half way to the front side..the manifold tubes just go strait down to the back so it looks like it has support but im kina scared to chance it.

Then don't. Park it and find a ride for a few days until you can afford to do it right. It'd be stupid to jank it with a weld when there's more to it than that.

It cracked for a reason. Bad engine mount with no play on the exhaust usually causes the manifold, elbow and DP to stress. Re-weld the manifold, get some stiffer engine mounts and get a muffler shop to install a flex-pipe on your DP.

i never knew they could install the flex piece i was just thinking of buyin one...but installing it would be cheaper tthen? and yeah i have motor mounts so ill put those in 2

No need. Is the exhaust system in any way bolted to the transmission? If not, fix it. The OE setup has a bracket that secures the two together. Yours should too unless you like broken manifolds.

Stick with good old stock 'Cast Iron' Manifold! I'm putting down ~320whp with stock manifold with my current setup. There's a member on Zilvia goes by the name CodyAce, he's using the Stock SR Manifold which is extrude and honed and pushing out ~400whp. It's solid, reliable, and does the bloody job! Anyways, good luck and do whatever you want; we've said our part.

+1. You won't lose much (if any) performance going back to stock manifold, unless you had a really quality piece on there. It's not going to break, and you can pick one up for as cheap as twenty bucks.

yeah im really leaning towards that thanks for all the input everyone

yeah what flippin said was havint he samre problems u need to put a flex in your downpipe so it will have sum play in her since i put that opeak boost kit on not only is it easier to work on but it definetly is quality wont crack but unless that manifold is ergon welded or good quality stainless same shit is gonna keep happening shit i made 415 with the cast piece i welded a 38 tial gt2871r turbo precision daily driven no problems so put that stock one 4 now its straight save up and get peak boost kit like 2000 at most shops or call ken direct hes straight up and shit is guaranteed 4 life or go full race thats like 3500 baller shit . i made 5 horse less than my boi that got twin scroll full race manifold but made more torque so i aint mad good luck

yeah i got a s15 turbo fmic. turbo outlet, down pipe to 2.5 inch piping stock tip kina thing..who ever did the exhaust did it half ass..hangers broke made the outlet brake not the manifold is cracked so i think im just gonna flex the down pipe and put a stock manifold...should still feel good like how u guys said..thanks i would have never really think of goin back to stock...input was great

FIlthy 240;
My current setup is:
S14 SR20DET Kouki Motor VTC
GT28RS Turbo
HKS Step 2 Cams 256in/264ex (both 11.5mm lift)
HKS Step 2 Valve Springs
HKS RAS
Peak Performance Retainers
Apex'i 1.1mm Head Gasket
Stock bottom
Daily driven at ~13psi (tuned for reliability not for bragging rights)
Tuned with Power FC by a legit HKS tuner here in Calgary.
I used to have a Tomei Manifold, cracked on the dyno, and yeah I was hella pissed! $600-700 for a fancy tube, total bullux. I'm a professional piping designer (oil and gas) and from looking at the pipe wall thickness it just made me laugh. Don't even start with me about these tubular crap unless its made of high spec sch.40 material. I believe full race has a high quality tubular manifold, but it will cost you a good $, but then again its still a tube. If I were to go top mount, i'd go with cast iron once again; thats my opinion.
