Spy Shots: Nissan 370Z caught undisguised

<br>Nissan's upcoming redesign of its Z car is almost here, and proof positive is this prototype caught cruising around in the vicinity of Germany's famed Nürburgring. The redesign is on full display here, with the boomerang-style headlights and taillights first seen on the new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/first-drive-2009-nissan-maxima/">Maxima</a> clearly visible. The whole front end is new but retains a visual connection with its predecessor, while big fender flares give away that the new car might be rolling on a wider track. There are also a few more kinks and creases on the new car, which are on display in the chunky C-pillar. We think it looks terrific as an attractive evolution of the current 350Z. The new car will change its nomenclature slightly to 370Z when it debuts this auto show season thank to the addition of Nissan's new 3.7L V6 that will be producing well over 300 horsepower in the new Z. Word has it that Nissan has also worked hard to address one of the biggest criticisms against the current car: weight. I love the quarter glass mostly. The headlights, tails, and front fascia are not doing it for me.

I'm going to wait to completely pass judgement next month when it debuts in LA.

i think its total sex. The headlights still have to grow on me i think they break up the flow a lil bit, but other than that its pretty sick. I look forward to salvaging the motor out of a wrecked one...cause ill never be able to afford the whole car lol.

I must say I like this z34?!? better than the z33 for two reasons...

1. It's going to be lighter
2. It's going to have more power

When I saw the Maxima in person, I must say the headlight design does not distract me from the overall look of the car. I'm hoping this will be the same case with the 370Z.

I'd agree with the majority. Like the rear windows being a throwback design. The head lights are bothering me.

As far as the 350Z, They are alright stock, but throw a decent front bumper on them and they become a much hotter car.

The 370 looks like it might be more aggressive from the get go.

Would love to see the specs :) Nissan is definitely making room in thier price brackets for a S-Chasis resurrection....
