hey everyone. friday was a sad day for me. i was the victim of fresh rain and an inexperienced driver. i was in el serrito on san pablo ave following my friend in a red evo when the car in front of him stopped and signaled left but stopped in the middle of the road wand stayerd there. the evo stopped and then i stopped leaving about 1/2 to 1 car length in between. we were going to check out berkeley hills and scout out the roads for some nice pics to take when all of a sudden a nissan sentra rear ends me going at least 25 to 30 mph and sends me flying into the evo. my bumper is smashed in and my trunk has to be pulled up as well as the trunk release latch being pulled to open and my silvia front end of a few months old was damaged as well. the headlight tabs were all broken and the gtr grill was smashed into peices. the bumper bar is about an inch to 2 inches seperated from the bumper and the front of the hood is bent up. the skin from the hood seperated from the skeleton of the hood. whats worse is the evo has a scrtch and his bumper is a little pushed in and the sentra looks like it only has a scratch as well. by the looks of it insurance will probably total my ccar but i am gonna buy it back. got to much stuff in there to lose. my plan is to swap the motor into a different 240 shell and revive the beast. good news is the car is still drivable. the ehadlights flap around a bit but not to much.

so to all you fellow zilvians out there i am looking for a clean shell (preferably hatch) to buy at a good price. if any of you guys see one please let me know or if you are selling one please let me know.

i will upload some pics once my friend send them to me. its on his nice ass camera. i am trying to keep a positive outlook on this. to help i put bandaids on my poor baby.

sorry to hear about your car bro. I understand how it feels to be in an accident and seeing your baby all smashed up, it hurts seriously. I'm sure you will find a shell in the bay area for cheap. Goodluck with everything though.

i have a silver zenki fastback shell, decently clean. just has a few dings here and there and bent passenger fender

i had a bad feeling about going that day. i had street slick on. i would of gone off the cliff.

Err I just got rear ended at a light by some girl driving her boyfriends is300... Worst part is I got the estimate done and there going to total my coupe and I'm suffering from a bad case of whiplash

Uhh yeah. Pretty much any damage over $700 on a 240 will total it.

ya the adjuster came and they totaled my car. sucks. his estimate of damage was a little under 4k. i hope i have enough to get a new shell. im still drivin it too but now theres bandaids all over it. haha. and 240=180 i hope you feel better soon. u could go to a chiropractor and the insurance will pay for it as well as give u money for pain and suffereing i believe
