ok tried posting in several threads as well as pming people maybe someone here will know. i am in the process of doing my 300zx brakes i have the 30mm and am upgrading to the 17/16 bmc. my problem is with the middle flare fitting my friend screwed up cutting it out of the stock one. they are cut shorter but the tips are fine. below are some pics can neone tell me if they are salvagable and what my options could be to fix this bs problem. not exactly looking to buy another bmc unless someone out there has a blown one for 20 bucks. my boss says i shouldnt use these fittings. anywho lemme know:

Try and see if these guys can sell you the brass tube seats, you can see them in the pictures below:

I don't think it would work... flare fittings are sometimes capricious... they have to be perfect... I did read somewhere(The Definitive 300ZX Brake Swap! (http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm)) that you could do a bubble flare on your line, and it should work really good... I believe it's true, but didn't try it. Maybe someone can confirm?

i reflared the hard line on my setup for almost a year with no problem. the only thing is that you need rebend the hard lines to make up for shortening the hard line. also make sure not to kink the line.

if i had to do it again, id rather use an adapter fitting like this one instead.

ok so i took apart my clutch line and stock dampener to put a steel braided and the flare IS in there as well as in the lines so tearing up the bmc is not necessary...i will post pics later

clutch hardline w/o the damper
