an redtop sr that was previously running in a s14 should theoretically plug right into a s13 chassis right? my s14 was destroyed a while back and i found a s13 convertable to throw my engine into. just trying to figure out what ill need before getting into it.

That's like saying a 2JZGE will plug right into a '56 BelAir.

The harness is completely different for both chassis, all the S13 wiring is done underhood save for one dash plug. Buy an FSM or start reading online.

i have all the fsm's and ive been reading online. all i need to know is where the plugs come off the sr harness. the main or lower harness portion? i cant find the colors of wires that contain the signals i need. its like they were cut off, all of the swap articles make it seem easy as hell, and it would be if i could find the damn plugs or wires that i need.

you say all the s13 wiring is done underhood. that part i understand. on a s14 it seems like you make an adapter harness to mate the chassis and engine harness'. how in gods name can i change mine around so itll work in this chassis.

ive asked these questions a ton of times on here and never get a response. thats why i asked such a plain jane question. this time i got an actual response but no info as usual.

its not plug and play, but its not hard either. in the s14 the power wires get spliced into F3 under the dash, in the s13 those wires need to be moved under the hood by the fusebox. theres a few other small differences, but if you are decent with wiring you should be able to figure it out.. if you cant find the pinouts / diagrams you need, you shouldnt be attempting it in the first place.
