About 4 weeks ago i found out that my brother has been driving his Sr with about a half a quart of oil. The head sounded like it was starving of oil. I told him to expect the worst. I pulled the VC (cam lobes were fine)and changed what oil he had in the car (no metal shavings). After that it seemed to run fine.

Now fast forward to today. I go to take out the car since my brother is at school and it sits during the week. I try and take it for a spin on the weekends. It did not want to start at all. Then when i finally got it to turn over it stayed at 400rpm for like 10 seconds, it sounded like its going to stall. Then it popped up to 1200 like normal while warming up. So i turn if off and check for codes. Got 55 and started it back up. This time it starts like nothing is wrong. I take it for a spin, in first gear, from idle to 3k, the car had no power what so ever. It did that through all the gears, but at upper rpms it seemed fine.

I am stumped, i going out to pull the vc, check the plugs, turbo, grounds..any other ideass?

I just finished my s14 SR swap this morning, and is having the same exact problem. I spent half the day trying to find the vacuum leak with break clean, and couldn't. For some apparent reason, I checked my battery while it was running and got 12.1 volts at idle and 11.8 when raising rpm's....so i checked my alternator, and it's dead....haha. I'm thinking that that's my problem seeing how the injectors supposed to be fully operational at 12 volts. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me....either way, i need to replace my alternator. This is the first s14 swap that i've done that's gone wrong and has been pissing me off.

Make sure the ground and other wires from your charging system are nice and tight first. I had a similar problem from a loose alternator groud

Well i fixed the boost issue. It ran fine all of last weekend. I come home today start it up and now its backfiring every few seconds, smoking like crazy, and i pulled code 11 out of the ecu. Looks like i'll be putting a new cas in
