So far I have spent a total of $4,208.00
that includes the car, engine+shipping, downpipe, exhaust, fuel pump and all the other misc...stuff. I expect to spend at least antoher $200 before I get it running.
So how much have you guys spent (just for the basics)?

It can. Get the engine for $180 from UH, and install it yourself. Spend like $200 on gauges, $130 for a fuel pump, $500 for an exhaust and you're golden. Of course... you'd probably only be hitting 195hp at the wheels with the s13 redtop, too.
The thing is, an sr or ka-t is a beginning, not an end. Hence the thousands spent. I'm just glad I don't feel so bad for dumping cash into my car now.

I got the engine for less than 900$, but I still managed to go over 8k for the swap. It's easy to get the price up... espacially if you don't buy a front clip. But hey, ~300whp is worth the money, right? ;)

Damn, it seems like some of you guys have gotten some good deals! It is good to know that a lot of the 240 community is commited to the SR. WHo cares about smog and all that huh? Oh and plus, is anybody selling or know who is selling a front kit 300zx brake conversion setup for a 240? For a good price, and a good product? Anybody? Anybody?

wow anywhere from $4200-8400. I guess it kinda depends on how far you go with the swap to be considered done. My car will be totally stock except for the engine and a few accessories to make it run (i'm in school and broke)
do any of you guys have the part numbers for the hoses I need? or should I just buy the HT EZ kit?
Go with the EZ kit, you'll have everything you need. :)
