Ive been hunting around for a long time trying to find the perfect gauge cluster bulb. Everytime I get an LED bulb it is ALWAYS too blue and dull.
The best ones I've seen so far are the wide-angle bulbs by GP Thunder... got em on ebay a while back... but they are still waaay too blue.
The stock ones are too green and dull for me.
I did see someone on here a while back with the perfect gauge cluster bulbs... just a bright white kinda like what the newer civics have. I should have asked right then and there what kind they were but oh well.
So anybody know of some bright white LEDs that are actually white.... and not blue? Pics are always helpful

I dont even see any gauge cluster bulbs in the clearcorners link. Only WAY overpriced corner bulbs.
I dont see any 194 bulbs in the suprbrightleds link. I will email them and see what they have available. Hopefully these will be white instead of blue.
If anybody has any pics of their setup with white LEDs please post.

ThatGuy posted the wrong link for the superbrightleds site. Those are all #74 or smaller size bulbs.
Here's where the 194s are at.

Any of the wide angle ones would probably be best for a cluster.

Not sure which one would be whitest. All "super-white" LED's usually have that blue/green tint to them, I think the "warm white" might actually be whiter in real life. I'd just order one of both colors to compare them first. I've been wanting to buy the color-changing ones for my cluster haha.

They are brand new. Mike refuses to work with used housings.
Soldered in gold? You'd have to ask him. :p

Mike's work is the absolute best possible. Nissan guys aren't really who he caters to either by the way. If you are at the point where you want LED lights for a 240 you SHOULD have spent like 5x that $2400 price tag at that point on the car anyways.

Five, even ten years ago he did cater to Nissan owners. Only now Nissan owners are lowballing, broke, underage pieces of shit so it's not a viable market. A kid with three weeks allowance who's trying to buy a shell, front clip, and a set of MR coilovers can't afford anything more.
I remember the days when $700 for a Greddy exhaust was a steal because that was the only thing available, and people were willing to pay for quality.

You can't compare today to ten years ago. As cars get older, they diminish in value. Naturally they'll become affordable to a larger crowd, there will be more products available, and it's a competing market.
Look at 350Z's. A few years ago I'd see doctors and lawyers driving them, and today I see them everywhere, being modded and driven by kids.
And I like it better this way, variety is nice.
People willing to spend 700$ on a quality exhaust will still be willing to spend the money, and people who couldn't buy an exhaust before can today buy a cheaper one. If someone wants to be in their own exclusive club so they can feel like they're better than everybody because there's no cheap parts available for their car, they should go buy a Ferrari or something.

If you can't afford quality parts you really can't afford to modify your car. End of story. That is not to say that every little part HAS to be from some uber tight "JDM" company, but the important ones should be from a reputable company. People who buy "exclusive" parts don't do it specifically to be better than everryone else, they do it because they want the absolute best for their car, regardless of what make/model/year it is, and that deserves respect. Just because 240's are cheap cars doesn't mean that they only deserve cheap parts.

What I was saying is that the people who really do care about quality and performance will still buy the good parts.
I know you're serious about your car and racing, are you going to buy an inferior knockoff part just because it is available? No.

I think you missed construde what Russ meant. 10 years ago, there were barely any available parts for 240s. You have a select few companies that brought in their parts from overseas. I remember when Eibach Springs were the only shit you can find for the 240 thats available in the states. You want coilovers, go special order it from japan and pay out of your ass for it. You want exhaust, you may get lucky and get ahold of some Blitz Nur-spec but it wont be cheap. Now its flooded with crappy ebay knock off shit thats dime a dozen.
