Is a 240sx tranny the same as a nissan hardbody tranny? (minus bellhousing, both 5spd

Internally yes, but the rear extension housing is different as well. I believe also the gearing may be different, Brian Davis (orion) rebuilt one of my old S14units with parts from a Frontier transmission he had several years ago. He said it was pretty straightforward.
