i have a 90 240sx hatchy... and i wanna get an cat-back exhaust for it. rite now im thinkin 5zigen fireball is the best to go with. im more concerned with power than sound. but it'd be a plus if it sounded nice and had power. what do u guys think if i go w/ the 5zigen fireball?

Sounds like you have your mind made up already. Go with the 5Zigen. It's what you wanna hear, and it's a great exhaust.

Wait, just checking, are you running on KA, SR, or CA?? Basically are you running turbo or not? If you are running N/A 5zigen will be good. If you are running Turbo N1 systems are good.
I know that on the SR20DET the blitz N1 single is the best for horse power. It would probably give you crappy torque on the KA24DE, and may be loud as he!!.

Blitz N1? You mean Apexi N1? I'm installing my Apexi N1 Dual. 3+" of exhaust flow, and dual smaller diameter piping to keep torque. Sounds good to me.

Jeff, what engine are you running?
I have two friends running that setup on their SRs. They like it, it works. I have also had the oppotunity to see one of them dyno with apexi and blitz(testing for someones website...) and the blitz gave more HP, not sure about torque.
As far as sound goes it is clearly a matter of taste. I am planning to get the apexi N1 single. I think it sounds better than the dual wich is a touch louder, just a touch. Just preference.:)

Engine: Turbo KA.
Also... from just about every dyno that I have seen, 5Zigen comes in at #1 for horsepower (and nice sound for the 2.5") followed by the N1 series.
I dunno how blitz made more. Mabey just the right setup.

in the image gallery section, it shows some dyno charts for the 5-zigen and, vs. the hks muffler, it may help

Perhaps it was the setup.
As for the 5zigen, I thought it was bigger than 2.5. My line of thinking was that the wide open exaust might sound very ugly(excessively loud) on a NA car. Since I didn't know what Johnyb... was running on.
I am new here, nice to meet you by the way. (jeff)

5Zigen has 2 sizes. 2.5", which is called the NA application, and a 3", I think it's called the turbo application, but is excessively loud and nasty.
