He was great in Road to Peredition. He will be missed. Yes he was a racer at heart. He co-owned Newman/Haas racing, one of the more well known teams in the Indy Car series (now merged with CART).

He made the best grape juice. His memory will live on through his delicious food products. By the way, he donated MILLIONS of dollars of the profits from his food to charity each year. RIP.

Cool Hand Luke,The Color of Money, I can't name all the movies but he was class act, and a stand up guy, he loved cars, and was a very charitable person. Super cool for sure.

Newman was a great actor and a great person. My grandparents knew his mom. He also refused to ever attend the Oscar ceremonies because he thought that Hollywood started focusing on money & quantity over quality.

R.I.P. Paul Newman.

I didn't like your salad dressings, but you drove some bad ass cars and you did some kick ass acting.

Did anyone else know that there was a Paul NEWMAN version of the Nissan Skyline r30?

Also that year the Paul Newman Version R30 was released to commemorate the association between Nissan and the actor Paul Newman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Newman), who used to appear in promotional material as well as race for the company in the late 1970s - early 1980s. The Newman Skyline was simply a top spec GT-ES turbo with signature embroidery and decals, and is still sought after today amongst collectors in Japan.

Dude was as grizzled as they come....and still a gentleman and philanthropist (spelling.)..

I was introduced to him in the movie slapshot when I was 8. Probably one of his best performances in my eyes...although there were many.
