pretty much like the tittle says. Its a ORC ogura twin plate ,it was starting to slip so i ordered the plates only ,took it to my friend shop he did the job i helped we changed the plates only didn't resurface the flywheel just pulled out the old plates and put the new ones. clutch now its about 30% stiff than it was before and from 1st gear to 2nd gear engagement its fucking rough . i mean is this normal ? do i have to wait a few days so it gets smoother or better at least !!!. its annoying.

could be that i ordered the wrong plates? they offer for my clutch 2 types, ..the none damper and the damper type which is the one i own. i noticed the plates were a bit different on the center where the dampers are the rest was the same.

i'd say the clutch needs to be broken in.

imo, def should have resurfaced the flywheel!
you already had that other shit off, taken no more then a couple hours to get the resurface done

yes thats the problem or you have a aftermarket clutch and stock everything else and your suppose to break them in for 500 to 1000 miles of easy around town daily driving. you might have messed it up already. you always resurface a flywheel when putting a new clutch disc in and did you swap the pressure plate as well? if anything after you resurface it you need to adjust the freeplay in the pedal.

u dont need to brake in when u just replacing the plates. im using the same pressure plates. no need to brake in.
its not stock everything else. did u read my first post . its a ogura clutch . nothing stock here

well you havent given us the whole story, what kind of material is on the clutch pads? is it a organic, doubtful but you never know, semi metalic, metallic, or a composite? some clutches grab harder than others. we just need some more info before we can give you a real answer. and yes, you should always resurface or replace the pressure plate and flywheel anytime you do clutch work unless you are using the same clutch disk over again.

thanks for trying to help . when u buy a twin plate clutch(ogura, exedi, hks etc etc. u replace the disc plates when its time to replace it, no need to change the pressure plate on this type of clutches. . its my first time changing the plates, so i was hoping for someone here running a twin plate clutch tha has it replace the plates too.
u have to be familiar with a twin plate clutch system . so u understand more of what im taking about it
thanks again

In my experience pucked clutches engage MUCH harder before they're broken in. Do a few medium speed slips from about 3k RPM with a 5 min break in between each slip. I bet it'll feel better after 4-5 of those with the disks breaking into the friction surface.

if its aftermarket (depending on the stage) thats what it does there is no softness it just grabs so if its a stage 3 there is no feeling of it slightly engaging it just grabs and some clutches slip at first make sure to adjust pedal freeplay tho.
