What Gauge?

I need to construct a patch on the strut tower and am wondering if anyone knows what existing gauge of the metal?

I remember reading somewhere that 18 gauge steel is fine....Thats what im gonna uses.....

Hmm I cant seem to find anywhere the gauge so I guess 18 it is. Unless anyone has some last minute feedback.
