Loud gearbox (SR) while accelerating

Whenever I accelerate hard and the revs go past about 4000rpm, I hear quite a loud vibrating noise from the shifter area. The 5-speed was just swapped in and came with a B&M short shifter. Could it be the shifter which is making the noise? If not, what could be wrong?

Yes. B&M shifters are known for buzzing at high RPMs

you need a new bushing on the bottom of the shifter, i think OEM is the only way to go. my shit does it too but i am poor.
