OK, I'm leaking from my front main seal, rear main seal, and timing chain cover. Yippie skippers. The valve cover and front seal I can get to OK. Hell, I'll probably get an underdrive pulley while I'm working up there. The rear main seal will be tricky. IIRC, I will need to pull out the transmission and clutch to get to it, replace the clutch while I'm at it. Any tricks you guys can offer to lowering the transmission? I was thinking use the floor jack under it and lower it that way, hopefully my ramps and jackstands will give me enough clearance above the ground. Other recommendations?

yep, pull the transmission. you can use a regular jack, might be helpful to have someone with you to help manage it. i would invest in a full sized jack and the larger sized jack stands. they are worth the money for a big job such as this.

I have a three ton floor jack, should do the job. I think I wll get a set of four beefier jack stands before I start.

Any suggestions on where to get the parts? I'm checking Courtesy Nissan now, anywhere else you recommend?

Oh yeah, as far as the clutch goes, aside from the clutch disk, should I replace the pressure plate and throwout bearing?

yes replace the entire clutch, get the flywheel re surfaced, replace the pilot bearing(may need a special tool to remove), rear main seal, might as well do the transmission seals while you have it apart. Courtesy is a good place to get parts or do an aftermarket clutch, get OEM seals tho.

Indeed, now to find a decent aftermarket clutch. . . I don't want a stiff one or an on/off switch :P Courtesy's site didn't have all the parts in search, I'll need to dig the numbers out of the FSM, hopefully they're int here.

Thanks for all the help bbp, you kick ass :-)
