If I use a metal headgasket n lower my compression in my ka-t will i be able to push more boost without changing internals?

stock bottom end is good for about 400 hp so w.e u do to make it happen is cool. try out ka-t.org

400 my ass.. Im not saying it never happened but if it did its a fluk. I love sr to death I know the record is 613 hp on a stock bottom end But i know good and damn well sr's arn't good for 600 .

I've seen KA-Ts get up into the 500s on stock internals. Highest I've seen on the dyno is 576 RWHP.

thats called an anomily so don't count on ever seing that in this lifetime.

As we all know, the more power you make the less reliable the engine becomes. So make power according to your budget. 500plus hp on one run on the dyno is possible but dont expect to push it run after run without seeing things go wrong.

No, its called skill in tuning and knowing what you're doing instead of half the jackoff SR owners throwing a t28 on and cranking the boost and wondering why their shit is toast.

He ran that 576hp KA for quite a while (as far as 500+hp KAs go) before building the bottom end. No, it didn't blow, he just took care of what was needed BEFORE the damage was done.

OK fine 400 is pushing it for the reliability factor but it is doable heres the thread for dummies of ka-t.org....this is like daily driving /beatage if its a track car and used occasional def could do 400

Average: 300 rwhp to 350 rwhp, you have to start to expect a little more lag. This is about the perfect "street car" limit. No race gas, just good honest street car fun that is fully capable of bring home a 12 second timeslip on a good run.

Turbo Manifold
T3/T04E .50 Trim compressor, .60 trim compressor housing / Stg 3 (aka TA31) turbine wheel, .48 to .63 A/R exhaust housing. Internal wastegate optional but not recommended.
Downpipe can still be 2.5", but this is as far as I would want to push that.
Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) It's time to upgrade to a larger front mount as the larger will push more air than the smaller sidemount can cool.

Fuel Control
550cc Injectors
SAFC2 to control your fuel injectors, along with the stock ecu.
MSD BTM At this stage I would be running the BTM to control timing retard.
Reflashed ECU-This can be a DIY thing with Megasquirt Tuning or a JWT.
Z32 Maf is required, as the stock Maf stops being able to read at around 260 rwhp.
Wideband O2 Sensor should be installed for tuning.

Block Internals
This is where I would start to consider it necessary to replace you pistons.
