I dont kno whats going on and been searchin google and reading articles but iuno if im reading the right articles or searchin for the right solutions. I read about tcp/ip settings, firewalls, and workin around with the windows registry but i dont know. I took down the firewalls and opened ports and still nothing so any help?

how are you splitting it? A router between rooms or wireless or ICS?

a netgear router between the 2 rooms. All ethernet cables and we tested with the router, my computer straight from the modem, his computer directly to the modem, and his laptop on the wireless. His laptop and his desktop have around 18xxx-21xxx while i stil have 4xxx-5xxx from the router and modem. Im doing scan checks and all but nothing unusual

same speed test, same house, his room is like 2 ft away from mine. no virus after several checks. I heard maybe it could be the cable so imma try that next but yea iuno what the issue is.

Yea i looked a bit but couldn't find the forum I saw it on. It involved editing a file in your registry that worked for a buddy of mine.

Swapping cables was one of the first things you should have tried. Or swapping computers will work too.

I'm surprised this question hasn't been asked yet. How old is your computer?

my computer is about 1.5 years old? I had my brother build it for me with some pretty good stuff. Could it be the networking card? because the network connection is on the motherboard itself, should i get a new networking card and install it on my motherboard? maybe the card is old itself sionce its part of the motherboard?

EDIT: also i swapped cables and still nothing. just the same thing
