So as some of you may know, our good friend Ryota (xkamikazestormx) is in the hospital... This poor guy went in because he was having pain in his chest, and they took an X-Ray and found a collapsed lung. So he's been in the hospital for 2 days now, and has had surgery. Unfortunately his doctor bill is going to be pretty hefty, so I'm trying to help a friend out. His bill is estimated at $30,000.


Sooooo... if any of you know Ryota or just want to help a Zilvian out who contributes a lot to the scene, throw some money his way. It would be greatly appreciated.

Surgery was yesterday. They stuck a tube through his ribs into his lung that allows him to breath into it, but a machine pushes the air out for him so he doesn't have to make that effort. Tomorrow they will test to see if his lung is still leaking. If it is, they have to go back in to repatch it. They had to cut a muscle to get to it, so he's having pain in his shoulder.

For what's I researche, It can happen just like that to somebody thin and young, with a wickness in the lung. And until it's happen you don't know the condition exist... It exactly the same for young diabetics, one day the pancreas stop working and you don't know why. So Ryota is lucky to be find, he has to rest at home now
for probably a good time... People who know him.. come to visit him sometime not all at the same time and not for to long.. so He will not be to bored..

i didnt even know about this until teddys mom told me about it today.
i am at home just resting for now. i go back for a x-ray on mon to see if my lung is collapsed again. they cut one of my muscle on my right chest to get the tube up in there so now i can barely move my right shoulder. so im typing this wiht my left hand so cut me some slack lol. and i also cant work or do anything for about 6-8 wks.

dont know how. i got off work and all the sudden i couldnt breathe. they took a x-ray and my right lung was smaller than my fist.so i was living on one lung. it feels like every time you breathe, someones stabbing you from inside with a knife.

i have insurance but it only covers 60%. and i was there for 3 days + er and surgery. im scared to see the bill. dont think i can make it to the happening =(. i might let my friend borrow my car to drive it there cause i wanna be in the photoshoot

thanks everybody. the only sucky part is, once i have a leak and fix it. its really easy for me to get another one. so i cant be around dusty areas for a while, which is gay cause i was suppose to go to streets of willow in nov. and no more smoking.

it feels like someones stabbing you seriously. shit hurts! when they put the tube in, your on morphine so your good, but they pull it out without you being on any pain killers. that was horrible. go get a x-ray! if its collapsed but its not that small, they wont stick a tube in you IIRC. theyll stab you with like a shot and get the air out.

my lung size was smaller than my fist so they have to use the tube method. they shove the tube inbtwn your 5th and 6th rib until right about where your nipple is. so like 8cm deep into you. had that tube in me for 2 days. remember this freaking tube is like an inch diameter ...

I just found out about this now. I'm actually in med school and I've placed chest tubes on cadavers- it requires A LOT of force (you have to punch through the rib muscle with forceps basically). Definitely not a fun procedure to have done on you I'm sure. Hope you're doing well, and PLEASE stop smoking. It does about a billion and one bad things to you besides the obvious lung cancer and emphysema, and poor wound healing is actually one of them :(

Wow man i know how painful this can be, it happened to my girl last month she spent 10 days in the hospital and has a huge scar from where they put the metal tube into...she came home two weeks ago but it's still hard for her to move in certain ways and get up from laying down....
