Well make short and simple...Was on La palma n Imperial lastnight going home. I had a green to go straight and a civic on the other side of la palma went to turn left to imperial. Tried to avoid it but ended up clipping me. Here's pics...:wavey:

It's not that bad... I wouldn't turn it in to the insurance... just start pinching pennies. (I'd rather have it come out of my pocket than have a salvaged title for something that small) Believe me though... the civic may not look bad, but it'll still be more expensive to repair than yours. (My dad has an FG that got similar damage after a lady backed out of a parking spot in front of us without looking) The front cover alone is $$$.
EDIT: Oh... and yeah... for a reputable shop that'll do it right... YES, that is a $3k+ repair. :) Like I said start saving to pay for it yourself, or like you said. Overfenders. (Just make sure you have the wheels to support it first. ;))

I had almost the same exact accident as you, only he turned in front of me instead of behind. Exterra vs Supra = no good... had a 1j in it too. :-/

As said before don't turn it into insurance. Having a salvage title will hurt you in the long run if this sort of thing happens to it in the future. At that point you might have more into the car and the insurance company won't do crap for you at that point. I don't know about Cali but in Colorado your going to have to get it fixed and inspected just to get insurance with a salvage title. Save money, Fix it, and leave the insurance company out of it. Good luck and get that coupe back on the road.

Depends on your insurance company.
When I was on AAA and wrecked my S14 they gave me market value
(they looked up the ongoing price of S14s in my area)
on top of that I was able to turn in receipts for mods and get a little more.
Full coverage though, don't know what you have.
Also not clear, to me at least, whether it was your fault or not.
If you didn't have full coverage nor plan to then a salvage title isn't that big of a deal.

I got hit in the EXACT same spot with the EXACT amount of damage. For them to repair it, paint my grill and side skirts, and shave my antenna, it was $1600. No deals, no friends, and it was a professional body shop.
Take the money and run.

If its salvaged, and you want it back make sure you negotiate that. And if they try to lowball ya tell them to find a replacement 240 for that cost.Usaully they dont bother looking and will settle for a higher amount.
