s14 KA transmission problems

s14 tranny 200k.

so im having problems with my tranny. sometimes i get stuck in 5th and cannot get it out of gear. weird thing is if i drive from a cold start and go through all the gears, it will get stuck in 5th. if i drive around just in 1-4 and wait till i get on the freeway to shift into 5th it doesnt get stuck ( does not come out of gear as easy, but does not get stuck).

so when the car is stuck in 5th, ill pullover and wait about 20 mins and then it magically releases and i can go on with my drive.

i have changed the tranny fluid with redline and it helped shift smoother. but im still having problems with 5th gear getting stuck. that is the only gear that im having problems with.

anyone have any similiar problems? ive searched and im stumped.

probably time for a rebuild you think if it has 200k on it. I'm just throwing that out there.

Ihad a similar problem with mine, mine just wouldnt shift into fifth, some how it magically it fixed it self. but i still replaced all the fuilds and it seems to be fine.

im not having problems shifting into 5th gear, its taking it out of 5th.

i dont have any grinds shifting into any gear.
