Just need some quick reinsurance, safe points of where to hook up the engine hoist onto the KA24DE for pulling it.

some cars came with hooks from the factory...
keep your eyes open next time your at a junkyard...

Or around the motor mount brackets if you have long enough chain.

I figured it would that's why I was compeletly puzzled. Why do only some come with hooks and others don't?

FSM has the locations of the hard points on the motor. I can't find the diagram right now...

i believe there is a mounting point on the back of the head where you can thread a bolt in. dont know any other spots though

ive pulled and installed dozens of engines, always use a strap (cut out seatbelt) around exh. and intake manis.
never had a problem.

Put each end of the T-Bar adjuster at the following points on the head.

General rule for lifting engines out...make sure the hoist chain is on a diagonal (from one corner of the engine to another) this helps it keep it a little balanced when lifting it out.
But if you still have the factory hooks on the KA.. use them. If not, the manifolds.
