Hi, i owned a 1997 240sx with cold air intake and n1 dual exhaust. I was riding my car down to burger king and happen to stop at a red light. Then a jeep on the other lane switched and smashed my whole trunk. It was a very scary moment knowing that sound it made. I soon pulled into a parking lot and got the girls insurance information. Everyone at my school saw the damage and were shocked of how bad it is (maybe ill post the before and after pics when i get them). Im just curious whether the n1 duals and injen intake will fit a 95 240sx. Also can i switch my 97 headlight to the 95 easily? thanks for any replies.

Sucks, bro. Glad you're seeing the brighter side.

n1 dual fits
injen fits
headlights fit...but you need to swap fenders, bumper, hood and radiator support (?) too.

ehhheh... i kinda just rear-ended someone... didn't do ANY damage to my s13 whatsoever, nor any to thier altima, but they claim they need 400 bucks to get the bumper repainted. whatever.

what i'm REALLY concerned about is how yesterday a dog ran out in front of my car, i swerved to miss it, and in turn destroyed both my passenger door and passenger fender, and also scraped the hell out of my rear quarter.
bodyshop says: 1300 dollars i don't have.
i'm thinking junkyard parts and primer until summer =\

you're lucky to be on the recieving end of theinsurance thing... i was over the summer, and got a substantial amount of cash when a guy totaled my lebaron.

listen to this one......

yesterday i bumped into the lady infront of me at 2 mph.....she didnt care becuase she was just in an accident and had a huge hole in her bumper already....she was more concerned about getting out of there so she wouldnt have to report it...she was on her cell phone and pulled out into the road a just stoped......

today i was leaving school and i pull up to make a right....cant see past the car in the left lane so i pull up about another 5 feet too look down the raod and the kid behind me smacks into me at about 2-3 mph.....i just look up and give him a wtf look....i wasnt to worried about it since he only bumped me and my bumper has some scratches on it already....so i just drove away...i dont need my insuraance to go up any more

Holy crap *Tears* that sucks!!! Do you have comp and collision insurance? Stupid fools and their lack of driving ability. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck

Some 16 year old girl ran into my friends Rodeo while it was PARKED on the side of his street. She hit it going 30 or so. The funny thing was that it was her 2nd accident..... She 16 and already been in two accidents that were her fault... Enough to make you sick!

OUCH!!!!

That's not good...not good at all. You can transfer the N1 Dual exhaust..but I have second thoughts on the intake since there is a different one for the 95/96 and 97/98. You can use the headlights...but you have to change the WHOLE front end. I know this since I 've done this to my car. :D

You can total your car, buy it back and find a 95/96 while parting out the current car.

OR

You can have that girl's insurance pay for the damage....since its obviously her fault. If that's the case I have to mention that parts for the 240SX are not cheap. It will cost you around $500+ just to replace the bumper and taillights......but hey...YOUR NOT PAYING FOR IT. :D

I'm a bit confused, why wouldn't you just make her insurance pay. After all, it's not your fault that she hit you so why should you have to pay for anything?

Yeah...I agree. You don't have to pay for anything, just tell your insurance about the accident and mention that her insurance will pay for it so that you will handle everything with them.

If you do anything with your insurance (which would be stupid) don't get surprised if they are more than willing to total your car.

The insurance companies don't work that way.

First you submit a claim to your company about the accident.
You give them all of the info on the crash and the other persons insurance info.
Then you have to get an estimate on the cost to repair the car.
Then you give your company that info and they decide wether to give you the money to repair the car.
After that your insurance company files a claim to the other drivers insurance company get rembursed the amount that they paid you to have your car fixed.
Lastly, they crank up your premium! F'ers

This of course doesn't matter if you don't have comp and collision because that policy doesn't pay for auto repair.
Also, if your car is considered totaled then you are given a check that bases the cars value off of KBB. Extra ad-on like rims will not increase your cars value with most insurance companies.
You are basically screwed if you fit into these last two parts.

Oops!

I meant to write:
Not having comp and collision means that your policy does not cover repairing the damage to your car.

He can report the accident and file a claim, but he doesn't have to have an estimate and/or repairs done thru his insurance. It's obvious that its her fault so what he should do is have an estimate done by her insurance and get the car fixed. If your lucky you can actually have some money in your pocket.....I know this from experience...I HAVE THE PICTURES TO PROVE IT. :)

I know what I know from experiance as well.
But insurance companies don't always work the same.
What I explained is the situation that most have to go thru but not all.
Insurance companies suck!

That's true, hopefully either way it turns out good.

still unsure if the car is totalled. It doesn't seem like there's any frame damage but one can never be too sure. As you can tell from the pics, the rear end is pretty messed up. The collision ppl have 7,000 to work with (75% of the vehicle's value). Parts will probably be expensive and there's gonna be lots of labor involved.

i feel hella sorry for the guy. One could say that his girlfriend, Silvia got her ass knocked in.

Actually where I am (look under avatar) we only have one insurance company so it works a bit differently.

If you get into an accident that's not your fault, you don't pay for anything. The person at fault pays their deductable and you get your car fixed free of charge. Plus they pay up to a certain amount for your rental car.

Basically, if the accident isn't your fault you don't have to pay for anything. Infact, even if it is your fault, all you have to do is pay your deductable and a license surcharge.

Like I said.... Insurance companies work differently.
What I described seems to be the most comon.

That seems a bit odd to me. Maybe it just seems that way because I'm used to it here. Also, it's seems very to be time consuming and a pain in the ass, especially if it's not your fault.

A pain in the ass is what insurance companies are all about.

You are very lucky to have the insurance setup that you have!
