This is probably in the wrong section, so my bad, but I really need some help here.
I am going to be sending out my Type RS BOV to GReddy in CA for a "repair" next week.....they will be (hopefully) replacing the diaphragm for me for free.
I live in NJ, and I am sending it out next Friday, so I might not get it back for a week or so.
Does anyone have an extra Greddy BOV sitting around that they would be able to lend me for a week or 2?
I live in the central NJ area but would be willing to drive or pay for shipping, and of course, I would pay extra money for you loaning it to me.
If anyone can help me out, please PM me, it would be of GREAT help, since I can't really afford to not be driving my car for a week.

So what would you do with the gigantic gaping hole in the cold pipe.
Also the turbo is brand spanking new so i'd prefer not to subject it to that, although i could baby it for a while

Make an adapter to seal up the hole temporarily or get another cold pipe to use temporarily.

Make an adapter to seal up the hole temporarily or get another cold pipe to use temporarily.
I think the first option is a good idea......
I figure if I can seal it REASONABLY well (but not airtight) and NOT SPOOL THE TURBO, it should be okay if I have to drive back and forth to school once (30 miles each way).
I just want this BOV fixed already....

YouTube - blow off valve duck call (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbNxugO-uf0)
That should fix your problem.

This is why I go with PWR.
It's retarded simple and impossible to break.

Type R PWR Blow Off Valve (http://www.rpsport.net/product/RPS-PWR-BOV/Type_R_PWR_Blow_Off_Valve.html)
Yah.......it's kind of annoying because I really do like my RS and it works well (when it's closing properly), but the stupid diaphragm gets wrinkled and won't allow it to close properly at idle/light throttle.
If I get it back and it does the same thing, I will buy a different brand or a type R, which I probably should have done anyway..........it's just hard to shell out $200 when the BOV really is fine, except for a stupid piece of rubber

I have piping at home. We can make something temporarily.
I'll only carge you the price of the pipes couplers, and clamps.

Hmm thanks you may hear from me on this........it's only for a few days at most, so I may just suck it up....
I'm still holding out to see if maybe someone can lend me something.
Even I can makes something that's not COMPLETELY airtight, as long as it's pretty close and I am not getting on it hard, it should run okay I believe.
At constant throttle, manifold pressure is less than atmospheric, so provided the hole is sealed up at least moderately well, it should run fine I think.

hardware store,
1/8th steel, cut it, drill holes,
bolt it on, and use that gasket in a tube shit, should be fine for the meantime.

Just buy a small sheet of metal and drill two holes where it gets screwed on to the flange that should be good enough to seal the hole or if u want u can also put permatex on it to make a better seal.
damn lb beat me to it haha

I seriously doubt it will hurt your turbo unless your name is Domenic Toretto! LOL!
