Hey guys, i'm very confused about s14 speedometer on my ka. The ka manual have a different harness than my auto ka speedo harness. it doesn't seem to plug and play as what people said it is plug and play. even tho, at courtesy nissan, auto and manual both used the same speedo part number. what's wrong with these stuff?

and all my sensors on the ka have same color wiring, like black and black, and yellow and yellow. I bought this tranny from a guy from zilvia. He said the ka is a 95. and it have a crankshaft sensor.

pictures below. Help is appriciated.

Did you search yet?

What speedo do you want to use and what gearbox do you want to use?

Please don't confuse things further. It's not SR vs. KA. It never has been. They're the same. The only thing that determines the sensor is the cluster.

S13 cluster = S13 speed sensor
S14 cluster = S14 speed sensor

The Type X cluster is a rare difference since it's 96+ so it uses the S14 VSS, but it would not matter what transmission you're using. KA, SR, 89-98, both sensors fit all models.

So for the last and final time until next week there are ONLY four speed sensors that exist for the S13 and S14 chassis.

S13 manual
S13 auto
S14 manual
S14 auto

It does not matter where it's built, what engine you have, they're the same throughout every market. CA, SR, KA all use the same sensor. They only change is the chassis.

That's an S14 auto VSS and S13 manual VSS.

So for the first time this week, but surely won't be the last:

Aluminum case sensor = S13
Black plastic case sensor = S14

That's an S14 transmission with S13 SR sensors. He kept his and used them on his engine swap.

yeah you need an s14 manual speed sensor and not an auto ka vss....

ok thanks guys, is all my sensor jdm? because they don't even have usdm color wires to match. this son of a [email protected]#$ who sold me the tranny said it is ready to swap in. What a [email protected]

technically it is ready to swap in. dude didn't bullshit you at all. probably didn't know or remember about the sensor difference.

so for the neutral position switch, i have those two yellow wires. i'm suppose to wire from my ecu with green/orange and one black wire from the sensor for ground.

the 5th gear position switch, all i see is two black wires, on the ecu, i'm suppose to wire red/black wire to the switch.

and for the reverse, i have the black and green wires, but the reverse switch have two black wires, how am i suppose to know which one is green wire?

It's a switch. Think about it for a second. Why would it matter what side of the switch is which? Either way you're connecting the feeds when it's engaged. There is no correct way, current either flows or it doesn't.
