hey, i'm new to this thread, and new to 240s. i just got one recently, so i thought, "hey, why not join a forum?!...i've always wanted to join a forum!!.." anyways...i was just wondering if i have this correct. For a Z32/R32 brake conversion u need the following...

-Z32 brake lines
-Z32 calipers
-Z32 rotors
-do i need a 5 lug conversion, or is that not necessary?...either way, i'm doing it..

so yea...do i need anything else?

you dont have to have 5 lug hubs... you can have 300zx rotors drilled to fit 4 lug...

IIRC you need "conversion lines" as brake lines from a Z32 wont fit directly to the S chassis. ... and don't forget brake pads :bigok:

Also what you have listed is only for front brakes, if you're doing rear brakes there's a bunch of other stuff you need.

The R32 brakes do not use banjo fittings for their brakes, they use a female threaded fitting. Get steel braided conversion lines from Bonehead Performance on eBay. They work great for me with my S14 K's break setup.

yeah that is a great resource, I used it when doing my brake conversion :coolugh:

Another thing (that's not covered by that site) is you might consider rebuilding the calipers before installing them... pull it apart, hose it down with brake cleaner, mask off vital areas, media blast it, paint it with some high temp (or have them power coated), then buy a rebuild kit for ~$30 through your nissan dealer and put them together... it's like a brand new set :naughty:

R33 GTS25T Coupe E-brake lines are direct fit for S13.

Yanack Japan also makes an e-brake cable set up for the S13 chassis.

ebay? that shit gets expensive... I bought all 4 calipers, BMC, rotors and e-brake set up from a local junkyard for less than you'd pay for front calipers on this site... junkyards FTW!

You can use the Z32's ebrake cables, I forgot which one was the longer ones. When you do that though, you'll have some slack so you just have to make a bracket underneath the car to create the tension needed on the e-brake. After that it just needs adjustment from the ebrake inside the car. The rear is a PITA to swap.

I did the full 5 lug conversion and rear ebrake, and brake setup. If I were you, I'd also suggest rebuilding your calipers. Its just getting the seals new that was kinda hard. Dealer doesn't make them anymore.
