Alrite im a noob here and ive searched the threads but cant find anything. my problem is my fuel meter watever u wanna call it. its not reading how much gas i have in the tank. the meter droops down way past the E. ive changed the meter before to see if theres a change wit another cluster and nothing changes. ive also had another fuel pump connected to see if its the floater thats not being read. nothing. so if anyone can suggest wat might be the problem here id gladly appreciate it.

Lol I think I'm in the EXACT same boat as you. My gauge reads on the last line before empty and only fills up 7.xx gallons. These tanks are suppose to be like 13-14gallons. I believe it's going to be an issue with the floater, not the fuel pump.

get another junkyard float and put your good fuel pump in it. It's probably the unit that the floater sweeps on, that sends the signal to the cluster. Get a new unit and you will be fine, oh yea, don't bend the arm when u put it in, that messes it up every time.
