okay, after the long slow process of rebuilding my engine while still working 80 hours a week finally came to an end, and i got it in my s13, and hooked everything up, when the time came to start it, it wouldnt fire.
its a 89 coupe, with a ka24de in it, and i had this engine in it before, running, until the timing chain tensioner snapped. so i rebuilt it, and stuck it right back in. i know for sure i am getting spark, as i have checked both at the coil, and at each and every spark plug. i also know i am getting fuel, having checked each injector. i can also smell unburnt fuel. so my first thought was that i 180'd out my dizzy. i check, and sure enough, it was, so i reinstalled it correctly, double checking this time. but still, no fire.
after i corrected my dizzy, i did, however have a single cylinder fire while trying to start it.
just wondering if anyone has any ideas/experiences with rebuilding an engine, and if it normally just starts right up or what.
