Know anyone who put spacers in their exhausts?

I am a cheap bastard and want to put a fat spacer in the exhaust for an AMG v8 supercharged engine to see what it sounds like. no, i'm not joking. because exhaust pipes cost hundreds and I don't see why i should spend that much for a piece of pipe.
So, please, instead of flaming my skin off, if you've done it before or know anyone who's done it, be nice to share a video or ur experience. Thanks.

Depending on what model it is, you should be able to cut out the 2nd cats/resonators and weld a striaght pipe to it. It will deff give you that more aggressive v8 tone your looking for. Buddy of mine did that on his CLK55 AMG. Sounds real mean, but still looks stock.

There is a severe lack of common sense in this thread and a severe overabundance of fail. SPACERS!!!??? Like to intentionally create a ginormous exhaust leak!!!??? There is no way that ANYBODY could EVER be stupid enough to actually consider that on an AMG mercedes......I hope. :tweak:
