View Full Version : s14 coldpipe questions HELP!

ok so i was working on my putting my fmic today when i ran into some questions. my first question is, how do i go about connecting these two places i have circled in the picture below?

my next question is, this hose that is supposed to go from the coldpipe to the throttle body, doesnt seem to fit right. it seems to get pinched when i manipulate it to the right position, but even then the hose looks too small to fit on the nipple on the coldpipe. how are you folks getting this resolved?

Not to be a dick, but I have never seen a coldpipe with that extension pipe (for the IACV I think) pointing DOWN toward the intercooler.....is this a Greddy IC kit?

Mine point back UP toward the valve cover, which would solve your bending hose problem....

the plastic tube in the valve cover is the recirc. for the oem blow off valve. I'm guessing you dont have the stock b.o.v so get rid of it and block off the bung on the intake.

as for the big bung on the cold pipe(I think ist for recirc too).....but you really dont need it assuming you have and aftermarket b.o.v. I have mine cut off and welded shut before going v-mount.
as for the smaller one: it looks like you have the right hose in place

yes its a greddy kit.

i am running an aftermarket bov, but isnt it better to retain the recirc stuff?

I found no ill affects.
some people complain about stalling issues when coming to a stop after getting off the throttle.
as far as recirc. som people say its more responsive but w/e

EDIT: devon what part of Maryland do you live in?

do u remember what size caps you used for the intake and coldpipe?

that was helpful

So the smaller of those two pipes coming off the coldpipe was the one i was referring to about the IACV hose connection.

But the larger one, I have a Greddy RSPL kit and it doesn't have that larger pipe coming off the coldpipe....
