I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner SE. It is the 2 wheel drive V6 option, has 98,000 miles and is in perfect mechanical condition, with a clear title. I am a mechanic and have kept this truck in perfect shape and it will never let you down. Just a few weeks ago, I drove across Texas in 103 degree heat with 1000 lbs in the bed with A/C on full blast, and it never even hiccuped, and got 25 mpg the entire time! This is a great work truck, utility truck or just something to haul toys around with. I will be sad to see this go as it is hard to find a vehicle which is reliable regardless of conditions.
Details:
- 3.3 Liter V6 (VG33E) with Automatic Transmission, 2 wheel drive
- 98,000 miles, just smogged this year and paid registration.
- Upgraded front and rear suspension (Desert Runner Pkg)and skid plates
- Towing Package, 5000 lb tow capacity with 500lb tongue weight (Hitches included with 2" ball)
- Ice cold A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes
- AM/FM Radio with Cassette Deck
- Manual Door Locks and Windows, Cloth Interior in EXCELLENT condition
- Rhino Liner bed liner, LIFETIME WARRANTY, excellent liner
- CLEAN TITLE, no accidents
Pros:
- Tune-up done at 90,000 miles: New Brake pads, flushed brake fluid, flushed coolant, tranny fluid change, power steering fluid flushed, A/C recharged, timing belt replaced, spark plugs replaced, spark plug wires, rotor, and cap replaced, fuel filter replaced, engine bay power washed.
- Oil replaced every 5000 miles with ONLY SYNTHETIC MOBIL 1 5w-20 oil.
- Front ball joints and tie rods replaced at 80,000 miles
- Near-perfect interior, non-smoker, no tears or stains, uncracked plastic.
Cons:
- Cracked front windshield, needs replacement (~$160)
- Cracked front right hand side turn signal (~$35)
- Small scratches in paint, mostly around bed
- Dented rear tailgate and bumper (someone rear-ended me)
