Hey guys,

I have a 93 RX7 that I am looking to trade or sell due to financial reasons.

One of the rotors recently started getting low on compression. I am quite positive that it is not blown because it still builds pressure, just not enough. It is most likely a blown vacuum hose or gasket.


I recently transferred to Arizona State only to find out that my classes are a lot more difficult, so i have very little time to earn money. I would bring it to the shop and just have them fix it, but I simply do not have the money to fix it now that i can only work about 15 hrs a week.


It is a black 5 speed turbo. It is stock except for the Greddy twin intake.

Exterior is missing fenders, needs new tail lights (actually just the center piece), headlight skin (the metal part that goes on the headlights), this oval shaped piece that went above the gauge cluster (was cracked so it was pulled), fist sized bondo spot on hood from an incomplete dent repair, and needs a good washing/clay bar'ing.

Not expensive stuff by any means, but i would rather say it outright then try to pull a fast one on anyone. Other than that, the engine bay and interior are clean.

I would do it myself and just sell it for a bunch more, but I don't have the time or the money to pay someone to do that, so I just take it as a loss and move on

well rotary u have less moving parts like no vales piston none of that when i had my black one i reved up to redline 8000 and i can hold it there for a bit and Bam two foot flames and i still have my cats on XD fun car to drive gots to love that high compression yo XD

how do you know it has low compression in the rotor? did you do a compression check? if you did and its low, that means the engine is going to blow anytime now. not to be a drag but, you probably have a bad apex seal, Do you know what that is? a vacum isnt going to cause this

Post some pics of the car, and what were the compression number on the test. if you didnt do it, take it to a rotary shop and have it done. let everyone know what it is, atleast I would want to know what it is before I consider it. cuz thats not a cheap fix

I know because the info came from the head of the shop who checked it. Please dont post if your not interested and are gonna drag on the post. Its not your car so let me sell my car

Dude im not thread jacking, I might be interested, all I said was have a rotary shop check it. becuase if they did a compression check check they would have told you the numbers on the two rotors, But if you want to give false information then fine so be it, I was mearly saying what should be checked properly, so that the person who trades or buys it doesnt want to come fuck you up for fuking them on the deal. know what IM saying..........cuz obviously the shop doesnt know shit...dont believe me ask anyone who knows anything about mazda's
