I'm selling off my 318is to pay off a loan and get back into the S chassis game. I will accept a trade for a stock S13 (doubt it) or a Honda (doubt it also). It has 178k miles and is registered and just squeaked by smog (9/06/08). Registered until August, 2009.
It's been maintained well (not sure about previous owner) but does have it's problems. Recently replaced the differential with one out of a 1995 328i, the original diff blew at 175k miles.
Problems :
-Oil leak, not sure where, about 1/2 quart every 2 months.
-Passenger window, well, let's just hope you like heat. Doesn't roll down and door panel is off the door.
-Drivers seat has a nice tear in it.
-AC needs recharge, I might be able to have it done for the new owner before sale/trade
-Suspension seems past it's time
-Drivers side fender has a badly popped out dent (Mom let some random guy who drove up fix it :/)
Recent work :
-Replaced driver side taillight and brake light switch (kept shorting and popping the fuse, killing fuel and water temp gauge and no brake lights worked.)
-Replaced differential 3k miles ago (longer gears, open diff)
-New passenger side rear tire
-Oil and filter changed every 1500 miles
It gets 25 - 30mpg cruising on the freeway, can't really estimate for city driving as I don't drive it around town much.
