Call of Duty Headquarts(COD5)

Ok so i wanted to ask everyone who's getting the new COD5? I currently have COD4 for the 360 and play it religiously (Remdmewhnicare). I know COD5 is set to be release Nov, and will be on the same platform as COD4 but is being made by Treyard, the makers of Call of Duty 3. Infinity Ward has said they are going directly to COD6. I'm on the fence about getting it, the "clan" of guys i play with now are all talking about getting it but im not looking to waste 50 bucks for a bust of a game. I just hope 360 puts out a demo so anyways I wanted to know what are your thoughts?

Nope for me. COD3 like dook said was shit. Cod4 was pure fire. When I heard the makers of cod3 was makin cod5 I just stopped and wondered whose brain fuck of an idea was that.

I stopped playing cod4 temporarily because I got r6vegas2 and was disappointed. The game didn't flow as well as the last one and was a lot slower than cod4. I was so bored after the campaign I stopped playing it and went back to cod4. If cod5 has nothing to do with IW I want nothing to do with it. I've had enough WWII, thanks.

infinity ward makes them every other year, and those are the good ones. treyarch makes them every.... OTHER year, and those are the shit ones. it's like the olympics.

but here's the thing, the first 360 game i ever played was COD3. and i loved it, i played the shit out of it for a year until COD4 came out. then i realized how much 3 sucked....
i'm going to give 5 a chance, just because i'd like something new. and it's going to be based on the COD4 engine anyway. it's just a new skin, really. so the physics and controls should be exactly the same. the same, but with flamethrowers.

it's going to be a flop. gears of war 2 will be the shit and take away from cod's thunder. And when GOW2 gets old I'll move on to Fable 2! Also the new final fantasy on ps3 looks like it's going to be the shit!

the thing I wish they'd fix, which isn't much, is when you hit the button for sniper the screen blacks out and gives you an entirely new screen instead of zooming in like on 3. It was easier to hit people at medium range with the sniper on 3 instead of just post and remain zoomed in.

on 3 it just like, gives you a circle to look through. when you play split screen the sniper rifle becomes completely useless...

i wish sniper rifles were like the one in goldeneye on n64, where your view just miraculously zooms in without the use of a scope.

you know what, you're right but I remember how much faster it was to use the sniper on cod3 than cod4. The animation is like a half second too long, which messes me up because I could have someone in my sights but when I zoom in I have to look for him again.

I gurantee I outplayed everyone on FF7! I got everything in the game. Everyone 99. Knights of the Round. Killed all the weapons. Everything you could do on the game and some. I even got the KOTR for 3 of my friends.

I've played like 60 hours on ff7 my FF that i've beat besides tactics. My brother lost the game and now i want to buy it but its like 50 bucks for a used one rediculous.. Im still hoping that remake it for ps3 always a hope. The trailer for it was pretty sick. I would buy a ps3 just for that game, i've only played cod4 and it was the shet i never tried cod3..

But I agree. They need to recreate ff7 on ps3. They don't realize the type of fans they'll recreate. A lot of real gamers were way too young to appreciate ff7. The story was amazing and no one beats Sephiroth!!!!! I would guarantee that ff7 remake would be outsell everything ever made on ps3! Seriously though, I would pay well over $100 for that game, probably $200 for it if released. Sony is missing the boat!

ff13 suppose to come out for ps3 and 360.

And they are making a fighting game like that old one eghertz or whatever.

World at war looks interesting (i like wwII stuff, but most of the games do feel the same, always played as an american against germans, would be nice to reverse roles)... but Far Cry 2 will be the game to get, if anything. Farcry 1 on pc was just epic, opened the doors for crysis and open environment games.

Yeah i lost my memory card so i have to start all over, but i dont mind starting over since advent children and crisis core came out i understand more. I would totally play crisis core over right after play ff7 then right after watch advent i think thats the way the storyline goes. But its a hope +1 i would pay so much for that game i use to say im sick to mom so i can stay home and play way back then :naughty:..

Heli's shouldn't be able to see you either. The thing with the scope gets old too, too slow and no zooming capability. I played a fps game a while back that you could dial in the power of the sniper scope with the mouse wheel. That would be cool if you could do that. The power of the various rifles is off too.

The other thing that bugs me is the uniforms. Every map has one team that's uniforms might as well have targets painted on them. OpFor has all that stupid red and black round helmets. Then on other maps you have the US or British forces wearing black accented stuff that makes them stick out too. I only play on certain teams depending on the map because of how obvious some of the uniforms are.
