What you think of ADR DTM's on s13?

So, i just finished my swap (then drove for less than 2 miles and maybe spun a bearing) and needed something to roll on, something ALMOST free. Before, it was on two spare tire in the rear (one flat) and two jack stand on the front.

My cousins had a set of 17" ADR DTM's (rims from his old integra) as long as i picked them up from his friends. He gave them to me for free, but tires cost me $280. Before i installed them, i thought they would look ugly as hell, but i needed something to ride on. Some curb rash and scratches, but its ok i guess, no wheel spacers needed (thank goodness) but need camber kit.

Installed them, and i think they were ok, not ugly, but not too pretty either. What do you guys think. What i want are the 5zigen's fn01rc rims but they are expensive. All criticism good here. Not gonna get butt hurt or anything. trust me

Although i wouldnt mind a new hyundai, what do YOU consider JDM? Rims with JDM stickers? Maybe what others say is JDM??? How about se rims painted gold??? Are you sure you know what JDM really means?

I dont mind, i am just experimenting right now. Got a motor for 1k off my brother, a shell for 650 and free rims. all in all, a car for less than 2k. c'mon, who wouldn't pass that up. I trying to work my way up to the nsx. and the new NSX which (not to disrespect the GTR) will be spanking the new GT-R. Look for it.

dumbest shit i ever heard. i know a couple of friends that own M3's and they rock volk TE's, LE's like it's nothing. just because you drive a japanese car doesn't mean you have to stick to "JDM" rims. shit, some people rock hotwheels on their 240sx's.

for being unemployed, just stick with the wheels how it is right now. when you get a job or some kind of income, hustle your way up and you should be good.

From your 1st post I gathered that the car isn't running, correct? If its not, why would you spend any extra money on wheels/tires(I know the rims were free, but you had to buy tires for them). I would have thrown some steelies on there and put the money towards fixing the car.
If the car is running, then my bad, I still hate the wheels.

i'm just talking about quality These wheels are the wrong choice, when I used to balance wheels in the shop all the cheap wheels would be always bent, like 450 out of 500 wheels I had balanced were always messed up, these wheels don't hold their structure, therefor cheap. JDM wheels are not the only option, you can get high quality wheels from Germany Australia US Italy, there is more out there I don't know all of them

They're ok. They look like really thin Z32 wheels. You need about an inch drop, lower offset, and some meatier tires for it to look realllllly good.

I really dislike the look of those wheels on there, they're for FWD. It's largely because of your stock suspension though, dumped with some spacers would probably look a little better...

4) ADR wheels are NOT that high of quality. They're fine though , for a Civic or Sentra.

Second, NOT STOCK SUSPENSION, skunk 2 on KYB's. I dont know if skunk 2's any good for non-hondas, but i dont really want it any lower, i am scared for my intercooler. Maybe smaller/wider rims and thicker tires (when i get a job and do a rebuild on block).

Third, sr20 blacktop swap.

Fourth, yes will be getting better/new rims, LOOKNG FOR JOB!!!

ADR is nothing special. Just another Montegi(American Racing) Type company. The guy was actually dead on with what he said. I saw it too when balancing. ADR a whatever slap on wheel. Save up a bit longer. Sell those to start the quality wheel fund. It just doesn't look right even with spacers. We say this, or at least I do, because you will be flamed by other 240sx owners. You have much better options. Plus, last thing you want is drawing attension good or bad to your car and getting it stolen. Keep it low key man. That way you still have a car no matter what wheels are on it.

skunk2 with kyb is almost stock looking. sell it all and get coilovers. used set of tein is like 500 low ball someone and your set.

Free is good but you should have saved the $280 for something that looks good. You can find a good deal on an old set of wheels with tires for $400-600 pretty easy.

I would sell them, but the condition that they are in, i wouldnt be able to. I got tires JUST so that i can sell them when i got enough money to get some real rims.
