I have white smoke coming out of my exhaust when I take off an decelerate real quick so I pulled the spark pulg from cylinder 1 an it has oily sludge all over it. So I figured it was possibly a oil ring on my piston but before I say that I haven’t compression checked the cylinder yet. I decided to pull the intercooler piping off my throttle body an there is oil goin in, then I check my lower piping an yep oil all up in my fmic.? Has anyone every had this happen? It my turbo goin out or is it blow by from not having the stock catch can, I say this because oil would then just be feed to my turbo’s intake?
Any help please thanx
Also I installed a catch can just recently to see if it helps but have not cleaned then FMIC or piping yet, but is that my problem?

It is normal for some oil to make it into the intake piping. But it shouldn't be a big amount.

As far as driving with blown turbo seals, yes, it's possible.

I drove from Colorado Springs to Vegas, to Salt Lake City, back to Colorado Springs, and finally down to LA within a 3 week time frame in July with blown turbo seals.

Would I recommend it? No. Fix your shit. But it is doable if you absolutely must.

Good Luck!

Oil in intercooler is not DEFINITELY turbo oil seals.

I have perfect compression and my turbo is brand new and fine, and a few months ago, I had a SHIT TON of oil in my catchcan and intercooler.

It turned out to be from oil being flung (at high RPM) up into the valve cover T and down into the catchcan, then into the intercooler through the intake.

But, since you have oil on spark plug, I would be weary......

this is why people actually need to check and empty catch cans on a regular basis. lol

a friend of mine said it could be the oil from my intercooler is getting sucked into the 1st cylinder because its #1 the rest of the cylinders are good.. and i do get bosst happy alot.. i figured it was blow by that i hopfully fixed with the catch can i just put in.. and sat im gonna clean the pipeing an see what happens

i wouldnt say you're good. remember too, you're pretty much going uphill all the way up here. you're gonna want everything to be top notch. good luck.

its offical my fuckin 1st cylinder has low compression oil rings gone and so much blow by if i go into boost.. now i need to figure out if its actually the piston rings ir maybe my valves

Easy to find out.

Set the cylinder to TDC and measure the compression. Then pour a cap or two of oil down the cylinder. If it's your rings the compression will be higher after pouring the oil down the cylinder and will steadily drop as the oil slides down the cylinder walls.

But, since you have oil on spark plug, I would be weary......Do you have RAS? If so, did you remove the oil baffle by the valve cover T or did you modify it to work with RAS (cut it down some). Most people just ditch that piece and it causes extra oil to get flung out of the T. Remedy is modify it and reinstall it and/or use a dual catch can set-up. Use the stock one in it's stock location and use an aftermarket one b/t the T and the intake (which you do need to check and empty from time-to-time) :)

thanks for the idea...

i don't have RAS, but when i do put them on I will look into what you suggested
