Check for corrosion where the fuel pump fuse is in the fuse box under the hood. Check the connector in the hatch/trunk, start at your power source and work back. There can be only 3 things wrong with any electrical circuit - your power source, connecting wires or your load (in this case, the fuel pump).

Electrical gremlins are the hardest to troubleshoot usually, take your time and be patient. If you need more help, send me a PM and I can help lead you in the right direction, I've got all kinds of wiring diagrams on my computer.

You're fuel pump may be on its way out.

Mine did the same thing, in that it would randomly die. I'd double and triple check all the usual suspects (at this time I didn't know it was the fuel pump) until the car would start again. Usually the whole cycle would start again within 24 hours.

It went like this for 4 weeks or so, intermittently dying, until the fuel pump finally died completely.

ngibson's advice is solid. Start at the power source and work your way back.

Good Luck!

Look for shorts or broken pump.
