my MAF sensor for the intake has gone off twice in the last 600 miles. =/
im gettin sick of having to go my local lexus dealership to have them keep resetting my ECU, but i am not by any means trying to get rid of this intake.
is there an aftermarket MAF sensor that will work with the increased airflow?
or is there something i can do to make the sensor stop tripping?
help would be greatly appreciated.
flame for non-nissan?

yes. its only a hose and the 02 sensor.
put on the intake at around 450 miles (got the car brand new with 6 miles on odo) and its gone off around at around 650 miles....then went off again today at 1250 miles

wtf? why is there an o2 sensor in your intake? usually they're in the exhaust. maybe you meant maf sensor? i'm not trying to be a dik, just need clarification so we can help you out.

yea yea yea, youre right, the maf sensor. its running too rich. is there an aftermarket sensor that will accommodate the new substantial amount of air induction?

Nice IS my brother has one, i think there was a thread on CL how to reflash your ECU, from what i remember it wasnt too hard try posting it on CL forums.

I'd hate to think that ARC would release such a critical piece of hardware without some actual product testing. I'm assuming you are using the OEM air flow sensor and with the car being so new, I wouldn't think it was already damaged or dirty.
I would try leaving everything installed and unplugging the neg. battery terminal for a few hours to reset the ECU, as long as the ECU works like most. This may be albe to trick the ECU into thinking there isn't much more air entering the intake tube through the MAFS...but if anything I would think the engine would be running somewhat lean. More air enters combustion chamber, injector pulse still open for the same amount of time because fuel map is untouched = more air/fuel = leaner than stock ECU calibration. However, the ECU could compensate for the additional air flow. Are there any other additional sensors involved?
Let us know how it works out....Lexus looks great man! Is it a 250/350?

shut up matty. you're just a child
there are no other sensors that were hooked up on the stock airbox that arent on the new one now. but the stock box had an insane amount of air traps. i hope its not dirty. ill take a look at it tomorrow. what should i clean it with? or should i even clean/wipe it off at all?
oh its a 250 ONLY beacuse lexus doesnt offer the 350 in a 6speed manual........ so i settled on the lesser powerful engine just to have a 6 speed =]
