I'm getting ready to do t/c rods and I need to replace my tie rods at the same time. I figure I'll upgrade while I'm at it, but I don't really know of any tie rod upgrade options.

So far, the only option I know of is moog tie rod ends which seems to be just a stock replacement.
Do any of you know of aftermarket tie rods?

thx james, but thse are a bit too rich for my blood.
I think the JIC are full rods, not just the ends. autoimaging has them listed as "race only". I also don't have that kind of money to pay for tie rods...not when I can get stock ones for like $30

I've never heard of anybody upgrading their tie rods though...seems like a pretty important peice to me. Hopefully someone has more info for me...:o

Moog are great...and greasable. Only real reason to "upgrade" parts is to get more strength or performance...and since tie rods are designed to break when you have an impact, more strength could be a bad thing. I'd just go with Moog and spend the rest of the money on other cool stuff. ;)

What Eric said.

And don't forget the fact that you can grease them is a huge upgrade over the OEM units.

The Jic magic tie rods a little longer than stock iirc.

Forget what they said on FA but supposidly it was better for drift as you didn't have to turn the steering wheel as many times to lock the wheels in a certain direction.

Just FYI

It just turns the wheels FURTHER...like 80 degrees of motion instead of just 65 or some shizzle. VRT said that the only prob is that if you don't know what you're doing, you can steer TOO MUCH and end up with major issues (curbage). Anyway, I still say MOOG>>>>>
