hey i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?. . the top tab on the fender that connects the bumper to the fender broke off. .

is there any other solution then welding it? . .my bumper is saggy as hell!.. will get pics tonight

you can see the big crack is the fender. . the screw is from the bumper. . this is the inside of the fender

For the bumper, use zipties to tie the top of the bumper to the top of the radiator support through the holes in it. As far as the fender, it shouldn't sag if it's holding at the top, there's a ridge for it that keeps it in place.

use a bigger washer and put a bolt up on top closer to the head light.

make a whole and use a bolt and nut.

hows your support? lift your support a little?

Heres what I'm working on for my similar situation. I have an aftermarket urethane bumper that is really heavy and saggy, it has been pulling on those tabs on the fenders and I want a really tight gap. The first picture shows my bumper bolted up with a longer bolt and nut used in the top bumper bracket. This helped me a lot while fitting my aftermarket bumper, it will also let me run a longer bolt into the bracket I'm making for behind the fender. The second picture shows the factory bracket for the air box (red), unbolted and flipped around it happens to line up with the bumper bolts. This is not perfect but with a little cutting and welding I think it will work nicely, I plan on using them for both sides.

You could use, like a few posts up, a large fender washer. What I think will work best is make a plate the shape of the backside of that support, drill the corresponding bolt holes, take the bolts out, install plate, install bolts and you should be good to go.

This is the best pics i have, all that holds my bumper on is 4 bolts, 2 latches and about 6 zip ties. been that way for about 3 years. All my fender bolts got stipped in a wreck before i got my car.Sorry for the shitty pic but you get the idea.

Kinda like this, you can get them in any hardware store, wrap a few zipties around it and its plenty strong
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v304/S13Dan/Sell_Latch.jpg
great for really low track cars that might be trailered-real fast bumper removal(like 1min) and if you hit somthing it will prolly bust the zipties instead of your bumper
