Where is the best place to introduce seafoam into my system to reduce carbon deposits ?
High Nox !!!

Thanks !!!!!

you can use one of the vacuum lines on the manifold. you use the vacuum line to suck it out of the bottle and into the engine.
if im using seafoam i usually put 1/4 bottle in the gas tank, 1/4 in the oil and the rest into the intake.

u can use the line for the brake booster or the FPR...i would not reccoment putting it in the oil as it thins it out.....
gas and intake only...

I pulled off my intake and cracked the throttle plate open (like opened it not literally cracked it) and poured half a bottle in, hooked my intake back up and just turned the car on.
No more code 87 on my car. YAY! lol but I still have a vacuum leak.

i guess you can do that
i think you dont literally feed it into your intake :eek3d:

You can put it in the crankcase. You would just have to change the oil right after.

I always use the brake booster vacuum line. Seafoam didn't do shit for my high NOx though, I bypassed my EGRC-BPT valve and went from gross polluter to passing with FLYING colors. Try that, if your EGR is working i can damn near gaurantee you'll pass.

I always put 1/3 in an intake vaccume line, 1/3 in the gas tank, and 1/3 right into my oil. HOWEVER, you should change your oil after about 50-75 miles if you do that.
(Thats what i hear at least) worked wonders.
meng this covered like everyweek.

if your going to put it in your oil do it before you do an oil change. put that stuff in, let the car run, do whatever then do oil chang asap, dont drive around with seafoam in your oil it thins out your oil, you can put it in the brake booster hose with the car running just like half the bottle then turn off car. leave it for 10 min then turn back on, the thing is going to white smoke like crazy, ive never tried fuel so i dont know.

The only issue with seafoam in the crankcase is it doesnt always come out in 1 flush. Petroleum will continue to thin out oil when in movement. So even a few drops is enough to affect the lube properties.
So pretty much you pour 1/3 in the case, change oil after a 2 mile drive. Next oil change for me wouild be 1500-2000 miles later. Id do that twice to ensure all of it is out.
I doubt running the engine for a small amount of time really gets those deposits, I sat there with a brush and it took some scrubbing with petroleum to get some of them off.
Maybe the ATF in the oil is a better route?
Oh and like 5 years ago I put a whole bottle in my crank case, drove 1000 miles forgetting I actually put a bottle in there-then changed the oil. 40,000 miles later @ 197k its still running. No real oil loss. That was on a civic

Plus 1 on that. I just did my SR20DET Redtop, but I only put a 1/3 in the fuel tank and 1/3 into the brake booster vaccuum line.
Left it ran for a minute or two then turned it off and waited ten minutes and went out and floored it until the white smoke stopped coming out of the exhaust. Waiting to put the other 1/3 into the oil when it's time for my oil change.
I've used it on a 2004 subaru wrx, my 90 240sx with the sohc motor and now the SR20.
Awesome product.:rawk:

You can leave a D in your A, but its going to get soar after a while, but you can do it.
Nobody is stopping you, Id have to say seafoam is about as rough on your engine in so many different aspects and an italian tuneup.
Do it right. Full bottle of Chevron techron in the tank, then 4.5 oz MMO after that in the tank. It will all see the same place, except Chevron wont damage your valvetrain, bend a rod, foul your plugs, blow a head gasket, kill your o2, dilute your oil etc.
Seafoam shall not touch your engine, unless your trying to clean a weedwacker or tractor.
Edit. And in your oil, almost all engine oils have enough detergents to work better than seafoam in your crankcase. Mobil1 has the most, but lubricates the worst. Redline/Amsoil are the #1 oils but the most expensive. Soafoam was designed for conventional oils that had low detergents, or would cake onto the walls of the engine to due improper maintainance. Mobil1 is a conventional base oil with synthetic addatives, however the addatives are 10x more effective than pure petrol in your crank case.
And the ATF in your oil was for conventional oils too, it doesnt mix well with synthetic goups. and can foam up like lucas oil addatives.

Brake booster vacuum line and then if I have problems with emissions I dillute half a can into the gas tank. Cleans injectors and valves better that way.

I like running a vacuum line from the throttle body intake into the seafoam can. You won't hydrolock that way.

1 table spoon in a cylinder is all it takes to bend a rod.

what do you guys think about marvel mystery oil.... alot of legit big-time classic car restorers swear by that stuff...
i seafoamed my ka24e w good results... and seafoamed another car which shortly cracked a piston....
there seams to be a bit of dissent when it comes to seafoam... but that marvel mystery oil seems to be much more acclaimed...

a month.. it was a 1.9? liter ford escort w 134,000 miles.. so there are tons of other variables to consider, but thats still an unusual thing for for a low-strung engine like that to do at 15mph
only other time ive experienced something like that was a busted rod when a friend put octane booster in his saab like 7 years ago
edit: anything you do to a 20 year old motor is more or less a crap shoot though

I have tried everything also to pass emissions in GA. Cleaning the TB's. bran spankin new PCV's from NAPA, bran spakin new O2's from NAPA, Bran new CTS, fucking Seafoamed the System twice from the brake booster hose inlet to intake, Retarding CAS(in hopes to reduce NOX)' Oil is good, bran new NGK bkr6egp plugs and 5egp's(in hopes of getting a better or diffrent NOX level adjusting the TPS as reccomended. Checked for vacuum leaks and none found; AND STILL the fucking thing FAILS EMISSIONS. but runs good as hell. Im think ing about taking the Z1 ECM out and getting the Original but Z1 said the ECM A/F map that they gave me wont fuck me on emissions. OMFG i love this car but im thinking twice about keeping it if it wont pass the test. No smoke or anything comming from tailpipes only condensation and not much at that :( .

Dont pour anything into the engine's intake tract, and then start it. All it takes is a small puddle of fuel/water/solvent to lock up the engine good. The engine should be running when any liquid is being added for destination: combustion chamber, unless you are precisely measuring a minuscule (~1ml) amount and individually pouring it directly onto the intake valves, some of which will be open if the engine has camshafts installed, thus, it will go right into the cylinder.

Last time I tried Seafoam...I had to change the injector O rings afterward.
