Eh, here there are tornadoes every year, West Coast has earthquakes, New York has King Kong.

They put their own lives at risk. No one twisted their arms and made them move back after the first time NO was washed off the map. The could have cut their losses and moved. I would have.

New Orleans is BELOW sea level and they get upset when it floods.

I mean seriously, move the fuck out. Louisiana is a delta and it's supposed to be a filter for the Mississippi River. When you remove the filter, all the pesticides and stuff we use for corn wash down and end up in the Gulf. Right now there's a dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico that is the size of New Jersey. Maybe these hurricanes are Earth trying to clear everything out.

around here you cannot build a house below the 10 year flood plane, and you are suggested to do it above the 100 year flood plane. so not only is it a bad idea to build there, people now have gone so far as to make it illegal in other states to do something so stupid.
