For an S13 SR, I will be getting the Greddy IM...
Only the "upper part" comes off, correct?
I remember reading somewhere that the Greddy IM for the S14 SR replaces the ENTIRE IM, whereas the S13 one is only the upper tank part.
That being said, when swapping this on, will I have to remove the entire IM, or can I just take the top portion off?
As far as the 2 gaskets, can someone with experience let me know which are worth replacing? (head to manifold, and the rubber one that goes in between the upper and lower parts of the manifold).
Thanks

And absolutely get a fresh intake manifold to head gasket. had a few leaks being cheap and had to redo it

remove the entire thing (top and bottom)
you'll have to separate the stock manifold to get to the IACV (be careful when removing the old gasket, for it, its a little pricey from nissan) If you screw up the throttle body gasket, a dohc ka one is the same gasket.
remember, you're fpr won't line up correctly without a) rigging it up or b) doing it correctly and getting the fitting from greddy. Also you'll have to cut off a bracket on the fuel rail to have it fit right (middle bracket on the bottom, and a small piece of the back bracket on the bottom), and either make a custom throttle cable bracket, or get an S14 SR throttle pulley for the throttle body.

as far as a gasket, I'd recommend hondata/c.s. thermal gasket.

I am gonna be running an Aeromotive (external mount) FPR.
So, basically, I had it reversed....?
The Greddy S13 IM is one piece, the S14 one is 2 pieces?

correct.
well...the older style greddy manifold for the S14 was just the top surge tank. But, greddy recently revised the design, making it one piece like the s13, just with longer runners.

It kinda sucks that no one really has an English-version S13 SR FSM.
I have the S14 one....I guess maybe I can follow that...
I've done plenty of things before (turbo swaps, things like that), but there is alot more stuff on the IM side that you can fuck up....
I'm sure I will have more questions once I start the install.
