i was putting on my reverse indiglos, and i moved the gas needle soo slightly, and now its stuck on full tank. i found a new one on parts.com for like 58, but does anyone know if i can just fix the one i have?
if i cant, how hard would it be to install the new one? would it just pop in and wire up? or would i need to do a lot more work? thanks a lot
btw, its in a 96

I had the same issue with my temp guage. Your fine...its just that the gauge is not flush to your original gauges and its obstructing the needle from going up and down. While your car is running, try to push against the gauge cluster where the gas gauge is. You will notice that the guage will slowy go down....if not and either way...you have to take out your gauge cluster and figure out a way the keep that gauge in place and not obstrut the needle.
What I did was pull on the wire that powered up that gauge (while the gauge cluster was in one piece) and made sure there was no slack.......hope that made sense
If not try to stick the reverse gauge to the original using 3M double sided tape...and if your REAL desprate...use super glue.
