If I were to put in a S14 Silvia engine in a 97/98 240sx SE and add:

Complete GReddy exhaust (downpipes, testpipes, etc.)
GReddy intake.
Improved clutch and flywheel.
GReddy front mount intercooler.
Stronger GReddy camshafts and various engine strengthening items.
GReddy boost controller.
Blitz blow-off valve.
Unorthodox or GReddy underdrive pulleys.

What would I be running? I know it's impossible to ascertain the exact number but anyone have a general idea? Would it be worthless to put in a intercooler without a bigger turbo? What would be the difference if I had all the mods above and added:

Enjuku turbo with Apexi 550cc injectors?

Would my stock turbo T-28 be useless with all of the mods above if I kept it stock? (The problem is the money to buy the enjuku turbo, I would much rather spend on some nice 18" wheels and improved brakes. Always nice to be able to stop the car.)

Saw a Shelby Cobra 427 S/C driving around today in my 300zx TT. Wonder if I could've beat him. Probably not if I recall-- they run 12's. THanks a lot!

200-250 from speculation.

No your turbo won't be useless with those mods.

Shelby's are fast

Oh yeah, would those mods minus the enjuku turbo and injectors be enough to get me into 12's or very very low 13's? Or do I have to sacrifice the wheels and slap on the turbo and injectors to get me down that much?...

250 hp doesn't seem that much for 15,000 in mods.

Thanks.

You'll get mid 13's I suppose.

Do a lot of research...You'll get better anwsers that way. Do a search on here and freshalloy.com

yeah when you spend money on really expensive pipes that are a little bigger then stock and flow a little better you can't expect huge gains. It sounds like (I have no personal experience with the SR) that you can get 300hp out of the stock turbo. That means about 240rwhp which will put you in the same realm as me and I ran 14.1 @ 104mph. The expensive pipes look good, but don't just automatically make power. The intercooler will definatly help make more power with whatever boost or turbo or whatever you run. The blow-off valve doesn't make power. The boost controller will be required to turn up the boost. The camshafts are overkill with the stock turbo. The flywheel and underdrive pulleys do a lot less then a different turbo.
Keep in mind that you are looking at the best names in the industry, which means a lot of your money is going to pay for marketing (like Nike's really cost $130 to make) That means your performance per dollar goes way down with these types of parts.
However, these parts insure great fitment and looks which is always nice.

first off, with a T28,you could put larger injectors(550cc's) on, as well as a bigger maf. Add a boost controller and if you really wanted to extract power get a standalone computer like the Apexi Power FC . with a FMIC this setup would probably put you in the over 300 hp range . I have seen SR's with only T28's with boost controllers and FMIC's turning close to 270 HP .

I didn't bother reading the other mods, but the Enjuku racing turbo kit and 550cc injectors netted their car 391rwhp and mid 12s IIRC.

Change your greddy exaust to the blitz or apexi n1 single for more power, less money too ( I think.)

Driver skill pending, you would probably run low 13's.

Upgrade your gaskets and go for higher boost. I would not go too high without the fmic and that is usually, not always, done with a bigger turbo. Strip every thing out of your car, you allready know that. What tires are you running on? ACT clutches are good, so I hear. If you are going for 12's for sure, the injectors are a good idea. Also, I assume you know to do the other basic stuff with the engine swap i.e. upgraded fuel pump...

One more thing, tuning can be more important than the parts you have. If you dont know how to set it all up right together, don't bother. It will be a waste money and you will not reach your goal.

All in all, the turbo upgrade may be a good and safe idea. You could probably reach your goal without it but, you may sacrifice the integrity of your engine running the stock one with high boost.

Good luck, whoever you plan on racing will be surprised by all of the new stuff under the hood of your car. hehehe...

Somebody check me if I am wrong about this stuff.
