My own invention :D -blue looking headlight eyes!

Hey people- I want to know what you think of this too! this is my own lil invention from a while back.. I installed it myself in the headlights and it is relayed into my viper alarm so that it is only on when my car is armed(as you will see in the video.. i will arm and disarm it) - It is blue led's on the bottom of my headlight.. You can see it for yourself ->

I like it for one. I don't think it's rice just cause it's a light. Rice to me is more of not having the knowledge to do things in a sensible manner...like sticking lights EVERYWHERE on your damn car...

I have no stupid decals all over my car.. I don't have a fart can on my car - I have my own installed body kit.. a superior entertainment system inside that not many people prolly have.. my car is not all neoned up and I don't go driving around like a ricer trying to be mr kool guy-- and Second of all, I get alot of props from people off the street.. so I'm proud of my car and what I have done to it..even cops give me props.. I gotta throw this back at you. You did ask for opinions, not "will you all tell me you like these?" I agree and give you props for being proficient in all your installs but if you ask for people's opinions you have to be ready for them to give them to you.

ummm- 3m glue and screws hold em in nice and tight.. thats it.. i'm not sure what you mean by tab things-- i don't remember tabs on mine .. :)

Bottom line, from his sig his car looks good I like it that's my opinion. You car my friend is stock. You have no ground to call anyone's car rice except your own. You have no valid reason to call someone out on something you have no experience with. Put both of your cars side by side and see which one attracts more attention. Nuff said.

By spending money on things like this, one takes away from a budget that could be spent on performance tuning (suspension, tires, engine, driving schools), in essence making the car and driver not as fast as it could be. In a relative sense, it slows you down. :p

Aside from all the bickering, nice creativity and all, but if I am understanding the setup correctly, won't that just attract more attention to the car. Making people come and look then see your system, is it yours that has a tv in it, if so that will be gone, along with the rest of the stuff. Unless you have that good of an alarm system to scare away the people somehow.

Basically I just think it attracts attention thats not needed, the little red light that most cars have is all i need to know my alarm is on.

Right, put them side by side and his car will get more attention.... that's what it is, rice, and the people who'll be looking at it, will be ricers. Put us next to each other at a track, and i'll beat the crap out of him (especially since he is auto). Performance wise my car is modified as good as his (if not better) and i spent prolly 10 times less money then him on my car. I have the money to do every thing he has, but i'll never do it, cuz i think it's gay. The car was created to be driven, not to be played games in.

Oh and i have lotsa experience with crap like this. The whole b&n is full of people with this stuff. That's the reason i stopped going there.

For me, the lights aren't the thing that's swaying my opinion. It's the fact that you have a NICE bodykit and a NICE car, but the wheels are skinny (7") with a FWD offset, and you're rollin' 40-series 205s (i'm guessing). Get that fat KA-turbo and a nice set of meats and no one will ever call you ricey again. ;)

I can't get the vid to work so I don't know what the lights look like, but I have to admit that if I had $$$ after.....I repeat after I had a KAT or SR runnin about 400hp or so I wouldn't be apposed to some flash!! As for yer racing comment, i never said that they were built for it. They were built for pleasure of driving (for the exception of severl cars). You can drive every day to work in a 150hp 240sx or 405hp vette, and believe me, driving the second one is way better.

i didnt even bother reading all that rice or not stuff. I think its fine. It only lights up when you arm your alarm, so that's fine. It's only a small mod anyways, who cares if it's detracting from money spent on performance parts. We do a lot of stuff that takes away from modifying our cars. Like clothes, friends, etc etc. That's pretty clever.

Your car is not bad too....but of course I would take my car over your any day. :D Having a flashy car is not good...my car is stock (minus grill and emblem) but I still get looks....and seriously I don't like it. The typhoon thingie i never bought. I got it with the Injen intake along with AEM bypass. All that cost me $100. I then sold the typhoon thingie for $60 after testing it and seeing if it actually works or not. The total amount of money after i sold all this was about $220.

Yes i have stickers on my escort. They were just lying around and i had nothing better to do. My friend kept on pushing me to put em on so it's more of a joke than actually "making it look fast". Nothing of that kind is going on my 240. The escort doesn't have an exhaust. All it has is a home depot intake that i'm planning to take off and sell in a near future. It's not really my daily driver, just an emergency car. But you are welcome to take a shot at it. I'm not taking it as an offence like you do. Your are welcome to not like my car.

Side note: I see nothing wrong with somebody actually being a ricer. I don't see why everybody always get mad when they get called a ricer. It's your car, you like it, why do you care when someone says it's rice... it's just a word if you really think about it.

IMO the reason you are getting flamed so much is because the majority of Zilvia members (me included) are more performance orreinented and care more about things that are practical and that one can actaully benefit from. just my opion though

about the angel eyes....I think they look "interesting". I'm not sure what your gonna do with them since you can't really drive around with your parking lights on but oh well. suggestion though...it looks strange with the blue and the orange together so maybe you could do something to make them match or somethin'

not that easy- and i went to 4 radio shacks around me and couldn't find white leds so i had to resort.. but to get it around the low beam was gonna be harder.. and i was afraid of the heat from the bulb melting it or somethin similar.. :o

personally i think your car looks great, as for the "angel eyes" they are cool but i can only se using thrm while running into 7-11 to get a slurpee. you have a good look to your car, now you just have to be able to back that up with some balls in the car
