Ok, here are the basics, I'm trying to get my friends S14 w/ S13sr20det to idle well enough so we can get it tuned on the dyno. He is using Apex power FC D-jetro for fuel management so no maf, and Apex elec. boost controller. I looked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any but the idle surges like crazy within a minute after startup, 600rpm to 1000rpm, then eventually dies. We reset the CAS at least a dozen times to 15 deg. already, checked all the injectors to see if they're all firing, and they all are ( at 48% duty cycle ). Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thank you very much for your expertise.

My bro's galant vr4 did the same thing, and it turns out he was missing an o-ring on his #1 inejector.
Its worth a try, see if your orings are there.

injector o-rings are good just put in new ones on the RC 750cc injectors. The 1st thing I thought was timing, then AAC valve, then vacuum leak. We reset the timing a dozen times, this is the second AAC valve ( thats what Japan calls it ) we call it AIC valve, and been looking for a vacuum leak for days and still the same problem. Any other ideas? Once again, thanks for all the input.

hmmm...
Well, I'd say connect it to the computer, but seeing as how its OBD1, and Japanese, that'd be a stretch. Have you checked your brake booster? Disconnect the vacuum line from the booster, and hold it closed with your finger. It could be a bad booster. I've seen that a few times.
