Project Low Budget Mischief =)

I figured it was time that I started my build thread.
This is nothing spectacular just a low budget high school kid trying to make an low budget track car. I bought this car back in April for $600, it is an auto 240 and whoever had this before the guy that I bought it from tore the crap out of the motor.

So I started by ripping out the blown motor and then I took the motor out of my retired S14 and began the swap. I was lazy and didnt take any pics of the swap http://kcda-online.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif. When I pulled the motor out I saw two chunks that were probably 2 inches in diameter missing from the block, and when I removed one of the engine mounts another piece of the block came with it!

So finally I got the motor in the car after tedious hours of swapping the intake mani

And then bad luck hit. Being as much of a newb to working on cars as I am(before this swap all I had ever done to a car is put on an exhaust) I thought that an Auto tranny would slide on just like a manual, I was wrong so I screwed up a brand new tranny and torque converter. Then I bought another tranny and installed it right but this one only had 1st gear left. Finally I got an amazing deal on an S14 tranny for $20 and I rewired it and put it back in.

That's about it for now, this will be a slow moving build that will be transformed into a track slut, but hopefully by spring I will have a 5 speed swap, coils, and ka-t!

Build looks like it is coming along nicely, well its not really a build but.. Nice find for $600. One suggestion I have is to loose the black on the tail light trim piece. I mean, it is your car and if you think it looks good all the power to you. Personally I, and I'm sure a hell of alot more people, think it looks stupid.
