you put them between your tie rod and the steering rack, like it shows in the picture

so then when you put your wheel all the way to one side, its turned farther than it could before.

No, no i know the purpose of them, i just never knew if they were an alternative to aftermarket tie rods.
Because most aftermarket tie rods allow for more angle, are these still used?
Do most guys run them on stock tie rods? or aftermarket ones?

Most aftermarket rods should of came with them in the box, but yes you can run them on stock or aftermarket.

So I understand the concept of the spacer, in theory, but if you are moving the tie rods out wouldn't that result in increased toe-in? In which case to compensate for by decreasing toe and thus negating the entire premise of said spacer?
