i was attaching a switch to my amp so i can turn it on and off, b/c i don't like a lot of bass all the time.... i originally wired it to use the accessory turn on signal from the head unit, so it would turn on with the rest of the electronics in the car, and always be on when the car's accessories are running. well, i wired a switch with the battery power on one side and the power on line to the amp on the other, and grounded it... i didn't have the wires on proplerly and was drilling a hole in the center console for the switch, and the battery power wire slid over and touched the metal casing of the head unit. i guess a fuse blew, but i can't figure out which one. i don't think any of the fuses in the in-cabin fuse box are blown. i don't really know. here's what's going on:
the backlight for the clock on the instrument panel lights up. when the door is open, the time does not appear. when the door is closed, it displays the time.
the little dinging bell that tells you your keys are in the ignition, your lights are on, etc. does not do anything.
update: i just checked, there is no power coming from the BATT+ wire going to the head unit. however, there IS power going to the ACC. wire.... what the HELL is going on?!
the interior lights do not function. when i pulled the fuse marked "int. light" in the in-cabin fuse box, it flew off somewhere, so i couldn't check it. i'm out of fuses, so this relay has no fuse right now.
please, someone, HELP ME.... i'm going up to autozone to buy some packs of fuses...
